Big Efforts on Monday Evening

What a great night of racing on Monday Evening. Not only did the puppies get in on the winning acts, so did the big time names.

Littermates, Gs Speedo and Gs Ocean Blue (Deerfield Site* - Steffie's Charm), both took home wins for the Willis kennel in their maiden races, but they did it in different fashion. Speedo when to the lead and coasted for the win in the 3rd, but Ocean Blue had to rally in the stretch to prove best at the wire in the 5th.

Count Ivan started off the big name rally toward the end of the card in the 10th race. Talk about getting back into form! Ivan really ran a huge race. Know for stealing leads and punishing fields, Ivan didn't live up to that billing. Here he didn't make the front and kept running thruout to get up in the deep stretch for the victory. This win was his third in a row and his fourth in five races. Everyone better watch out, the man is back on track.

No one ran better than track record holder Kiowa Swizzle though! Talk about a big effort. How about box to wire romp in 30.36 seconds? Sounds good to me and everyone else at the racetrack. Going off as the overwhelming favoring, Swizzle also breezed to his third win in a row at the Orange Park Kennel Club.

One more big effort was left on the table and even though it was a grade B win, Racheal Lee finally looked like her oldself again! She poorly, not really, lol, and decided that she needed to start closing about the middle of race. In the stretch no one was going to deny her the win and no one did. She was all out flying home and stole away the victory in the final couple of strides.
