It was a name dropping fest thru the 2 cards on Wednesday at the Orange Park Kennel Club and the majority of them got it done on the racetrack.
Count Ivan led everything off in the matinee and even though it was a grade B race, he would have beaten anyone with this effort. Clocking the fastest time of the whole day, both matinee and evening cards, his 30.42 second 8 length romp moved him back to grade A.
Puppy Fay's Mcqueen show that he has some chops too. The 2009 Sunshine State Silver Cup winner, Rs Libby Lu, broke again to the lead and seems to be in complete control of the race, but not so fast my friend! Mcqueen put the ponies in overdrive and machined home an upset win at the finish line.
Easy money in the night card as T Dizzle Drew the 8 box and didn't disappoint. Rushing out close early on, she was way to much for the competition come the far turn and in the stretch forgetaboutit. But that wasn't the best effort on the evening, that was saved for Wp's Clinton.
Another rising star here at the Orange Park Kennel Club, this half brother to Count Ivan, same mom, is really coming into his own at the right time. He won by almost 11 lenghts and put up a 30.51 second time on the board in the process. With 4 wins inh 6 efforts, you better watch out for him in the future.
Business as usual for a couple of other big names on the circuit as La's Anthony jumped out fast and took early command of his race to put up back to back wins and nice to see the track record holder get back off the snide with an impressive 8 1/2 length win over a grade B field.
