Mr. Clark Hot as Anyone

After winning his schooling races for fun, Mr. Clark looked to be on his way to grade A in a hurry here at the Orange Park Kennel Club and becoming quite a force once her got there.

Oh the best laid plans of mice and men!

Ok so he hasn't really tore up the racetrack as of yet, but over his last couple of races the lightbulbs have come on and everyone has been noticing the party.

It's like he knew after he missed his opportunity to make the finals of the 2010 JGR Puppy Stakes, after winning a round and finishing second in another, something needed to change.

So what has been the difference maker? His break of course, and maybe a little trip back to grade B too. Since that effort he has been getting out of the box much better and has been getting to the lead early on in his efforts. This in turn has led to three wins in a row and in each he has broke better and looked stronger and stronger heading to the wire.

Post might also have something to do with it. Mr. Clark like to race on the rail, but can rush to the inside from any of the rail or far outside post positions.

Maybe, finally, he is starting to mature and realize that he can't sit in the box and get bounced around at the first turn and still try and rebound to win races. You have to be close early on and if he keeps it up, this win streak should continue on for a while.

Thanks to DQ for bringing us another great litter of puppies that have all gone to grade A. Miss Kate, Miss Romy, Miss Sylvie, Mr Barret, Mr. Duncan, and of course Mr. Clark all have competed against the best at the racetrack and 5 of the 6 have won in grade A.

No wonder DQ has been on top in the kennel standings forever here. They keep bringing in the talented puppies and chalking up the victories. Continues success to Mr. Clark and the rest of this fantastic litter.
