Rs Libby Lu is on FIRE!

Since returning from Wheeling, the winner of the 2009 Sunshine State Silver Cup, Rs Libby Lu (Lonesome Cry - Sweet Sandra Sue), has been almost untouchable.

Her blazing early speed has been showcased in almost every start. Once in front no one has been able to run her down and that has meant a boatload of victories.

So far she has competed in 6 races and has won 5 of those starts, including a run of 4 wins in a row to start off her return voyage. In her other race she ran into early trouble but still found a way to finish off in the money at the wire in 4th position.

She surely has to be the favorite heading into the upcoming 2010 Jacksonville Sprint Classic, which starts off on the 19th of this month. Once again the best of the best at the racetrack will lock up in 4 round of competition, March 19th, March 22nd, March 26th, and March 29th, leading up to the finals on April 3rd at the Orange Park Kennel Club.
If Lu Lu could get it done she would be the first greyhound in a long time to win back to back stakes events at the racetrack.

Others running hot heading into the countdown for the stakes are Fay's Fonda with 4 wins in a row, Ray's Scout with 3 wins in a row, and Hallo Mr Great and Hanks Diana with a pair a piece at the top grade level. Kiowa Gooddesign gets a nod too with his 4 wins in 6 efforts.

Some puppies might get into the mix as well to get a chance at stakes competition before they attempt a run in the 2010 JGR Puppy Stakes in May. The best new risers might be Mr. Clark, and some of his littermates, Yourgood Imgreat, Playing Amy Song (all three from DQ), Hanks Reno and the Take It Over pups from B & J, Pure Performance from Lester Raines, and Lrc Last Dance from Crowe, and Smokin Scamp from Blanch.

Stakes veterans will be in the mix too. How about La's Anthony, Pru Whistler, Blaze N Ray, Cjc's Buckshot, Fth Keystone Cop, Kb's Next Level, Uss Fine Touch, and others.

It's only a couple of weeks away, so get ready for the best of the best locking up in head to head heart pounding action here at the Orange Park Kennel Club.
